I had a tooth extracted in the front of my mouth years ago, and I started wearing a one-tooth denture every day. Although it made me feel better about my missing tooth during the day, I hated taking it out at night and having to look at my gap. I am single, and I was even afraid to date for fear of my missing tooth being "discovered". I finally decided to look into a dental implant, even though I was deathly afraid of the idea at first. I just couldn't stand feeling so self-conscious anymore. I found a caring specialist, and I was in shock at how easy the procedures were. I had a post put in then the tooth, and I love it! I have my self-esteem back! I created this blog to help others with missing teeth know that implants don't have to be scary!
